Job Description

 

We are pleased to be recruiting for First Year Motor Mechanic Apprentices as part of our clients Enhanced Apprenticeship Academy Program.

 

This is a four-year apprenticeship offered in conjunction with SOLAS and involves both on and off the job training. Upon successful completion, the apprentice will be awarded a QQI level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Motor Mechanics

 

Our client is a family run dealership with 45 years Motor Trade experience in the Motor industry. Their team consists of highly trained technicians working with industry leading diagnostic and repair equipment.

In addition to a standard apprenticeship our client is offering enhanced benefits to apprentices. The enhancements fall within several categories, Tool Support, Enhanced Training, Bonus Eligibility and Educational Support:

 

Tool Support Scheme

 

As part of the enhanced program each apprenticeship receives support to build and grow their tool kits. A starter tool kit will be provided for all first-year apprentices and 2nd to 4th year apprentices are eligible to receive a tool allowance to further expand their kits.

 

Enhanced Training

 

In addition to qualifying with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft Motor Mechanics, apprentices will be provided with the opportunity to gain enhanced training under the new program. Within our clients dealerships you will be provided with the maximum training available to apprentices within dealership franchises. This training will help to fast track your career development upon qualification.

 

Educational Support

 

As part of the apprenticeship program, Apprentices will be required to complete two of their phases of off-the-job training in a higher education institution. As a result, a student contribution of 1,000 must be paid for this part of the training. Our client is delighted to announce that they will pay for both years of the student contribution fee on behalf of apprentices as part of their enhanced program. As a result, apprentices will incur no fees whilst pursuing their qualification.

 

Workshop Bonus Scheme

 

To recognise the contribution of apprentices, our client is delighted to implement an apprenticeship bonus scheme for second to fourth year apprentices during their on-the-job phases. You will become eligible to join the scheme upon reaching your 12-month anniversary with the company.

 

 

What are we looking for?
