We are pleased to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant. 

 

Our client is a leading provider of complex extrusions, finished catheters and devices to the minimally invasive medical device industry. Specialising in providing design and manufacturing expertise for a wide variety of extrusion and catheter based medical devices.  

 

The Company operates from three facilities with a team of over 400, operating in a combined workspace of over 150,000sqft. 

 

 

Job Title/ Position:      Accounts Assistant

 

Location:         Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim

Required Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • Business/accounting qualification

  • Excellent computer skills with high-level competency in MS Excel

  • Previous experience in similar role would be an advantage

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively

  • Motivated and self-starting, ability to work on your own initiative

 

 

Duties/ Accountabilities (incl. Deputation):

 

This involves but are not limited to:

 

  • Accounts Payable/Account Receivable

  • Reconciliations

  • Assisting month end process and management accounts

  • Assist with statutory audits.

  • Ad hoc accounts duties

  • Adhere to Plant Safety requirements and Health & Safety requirements relating to your work, assuming responsibility for those aspects of the OH&S System over which you have control to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.

  • Be aware of the potential environmental impacts associated with your work and the implications of non-conformance.

  • Contribute to enhanced energy performance by conservation of energy where possible (Lighting, Equipment, Air Conditioning etc).

  • Contribute to the continual improvement activities of the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management systems through participation, providing feedback/ suggestions for improvement and by reporting accidents, dangerous occurrence, near miss/ illness, good catch, and environmental incidents in a timely manner.
